WELCOME TO NURSES FOR NEWBORNS OF TENNESSEE
Thank you so much for your interest in Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee! We are a successful nurse home visitation program dedicated to improving pregnancy outcomes and to ensuring the health, growth and development of infants most at-risk. Since October 2001, we have provided over 26,000 home visits to more than 5,000 babies and their families across Middle Tennessee and Clarksville, including the Fort Campbell area. Thanks to you, our nurses continue to provide at-risk babies and their families with the support they need.

Together we can make a difference!
In October of 2006, Nurses for Newborns of Tennessee celebrated our fifth anniversary of serving families in Middle Tennessee and Fort Campbell. During that time we have shown that we do make a difference in reducing infant mortality, abuse/neglect and unnecessary hospitalizations. We have improved the immunization rates and provided education and support to the families we serve. But we have a long way to go. Tennessee ranks 47th in the nation for infant mortality (Kids Count Data Book), worse than many third world countries. The major reason for our poor infant mortality rate is the number of infants born prematurely. Through our home visitation program we are able to provide the education and support to make a difference.
